Acknowledging achievements, commending successes and relishing the camaraderie of fellow partners are but a few of the reasons that our calendar is always full. Throughout the year, we sponsor several special events to celebrate our local community, our origins and our leaders in business.

Aside from our fixed monthly early evening events, we also arrange special events and getting to these events is really easy. Here is our list of annual and reoccurring special events:

Annual Installation Ceremonial Dinner

The biggest event to date in our organization is the Annual Installation Ceremonial Dinner. Each year, we appoint our ‘Chairman and Board of Directors’ and also acknowledge our contributing partners and the accomplishments of the past year. It’s a very big special event wherein we also introduce the Eminent Service Award, the chamber’s highest honor as well as the Ambassador of the Year, Council of the Year and other more awards. We will also celebrate the community and recognize outstanding individuals and businesses. It’s going to be a night filled with entertainment, dancing, and of course sumptuous dinner which is always enjoyed by many so make sure to reserve your tickets ahead of time for this black-tie optional gala is always a sellout.

Business of the Year Awards

Also held annually, Business of the Year Awardsaims to honor our small business partners and to grandlyacknowledge the best of the best.  All nominees for the Business of the Year Award are esteemed at this mini grand event and awards are made in a number of categories, based on the quantity of employees, from small businesses and organizations to the largest employers in Swansboro.

Super Marketplace

Held twice yearly, Super Marketplace is our special event held in cooperation with the other Chamber of Commerce in Swansboro, NC. This is a three-day event wherein over one hundred of business professionals meet together for roundtable presentations, drawing attention to their products and services to everyone who is present in the market fair. This event aims to be an avenue for promoting companies and finding new business.

Special Networking Events

All throughout the year, we organize various special networking events that can help in letting businesses grow and build relationships with other Swansboro businesses. These different networking events will be a fast-paced affair where participants have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with 24 to 30 other business representatives, settled at the tables in groups of four, 4 minutes at a time. These events will guarantee that our participants will meet more people that they naturally do during the same amount of time in an amorphous setting.
